Ea, Our Second Chance (10a)
10a. Eucytobionta (part 1/3, cell structure)
(Index) (< 9. The Descent) (> 10b. Eucytobionta, unicellular diversity)
Tumblr media
The typical cell structure of Eucytobionta, the clade comprising all the complex, multicellular life of planet Ea, the local equivalent of Earth's Eukarya. (original link)
« Complexity and organization are nested endlessly in lower and lower scales, far beyond our reach... Every smear of blood proclaims the power of its Maker; every drop of sewage sings the glory of the One. » – Yakub of Lilongwe, Mere Humanity
Shared features of Eucytobiontan cells include:
● A haploid protonucleus (i.e., carrying a single copy of each gene), sequestered at the center of the cell, where genetic information is stored over the long term in the form of enol-PNA; in sexual unicellular organisms, such as many Pogonocyta, additional protonuclei may be exchanged between cells. ● One or more massively polyploid paranuclei (carrying from 50 to over 200 copies of each gene), where gene expression and protein synthesis occurs, through remarkably Earth-like mechanisms. The more flexible and reactive keto-PNA is found here, and the massive redundancy dampens the effects of harmful mutations. New paranuclei are generated from the protonucleus before cell division. Monokaryotes have lost all their paranuclei, whereas the largest Pogonocytes may have hundreds.
● The astrosome, also called stellate body or Jariwala's organ, a multi-lobed vacuole located at the center of the cell. The water-filled lobular projections stabilize the cell structure, keep organelles in their place, and trace paths for the movement of vesicles. The astrosomal membrane is also the main metabolic organ, as it uses sunlight or chemical energy to create a proton gradient between the cytoplasm and the vacuole's interior from which useful energy can be harvested, much like the mitochondrial membrane in Earth's eukaryotes.
● The red body or erythrosome, a flattened organelle analogous to our Golgi apparatus, involved in the processing and secretion of proteins and TPP. The red color is probably due to iron complexes that assist with the reduction of TPP chains. In many unicellular organisms it can be visible as a dark-colored ribbon.
● The corpuscula, a number of dark-coloured vesicles filled with alkaline granules whose function is not yet clear. They are probably involved in the cell's metabolism and defense as reservoirs of enzymes in a crystalline form. Most Ean prokaryotes have corpuscula as well: some, such as Prasinobacteriales, use them for photosynthesis, whereas in Acanthobacillus they contain exotoxins used against predation.
● An elastic cell net formed by bundles of elastic, highly hydrophobic polypeptides passing between the two layers of the cell membrane. This sheath, similar to that found in the prokaryotic Commicutes, protects the cell from osmotic shock opposing both excessive intake and loss of water. In Ostracophyta and other unicellular Eucytobionts, the net is impregnated with minerals or crystalline polymers to form a protective shell.
● Undulipodia (distinguished, as on Earth, in cilia and flagella according to their size and abundance) seem to be extensions of the cell net, held into place by a trans-membrane protein ring. The whole structure is formed by parallel elastic fibers, and bends in one direction as the respective fiber contracts. The contraction is likely controlled by a chemical signal conveyed by vesicles to the contracting fiber's root in the basal ring.

Lt. Commander Data, how are things with your brother since his reactivation? It must be difficult for the both of you, given what happened in the past.
Tumblr media
‘Greetings, Anon. The relationship with my brother is precarious, and as for Lore himself, his personality has, for the most part, remained unaltered; his opinion on humans and myself, have likewise remained unchanged. I did not expect him to have diverged from the android he was prior to his deactivation. I, on the other hand, have had the prerogative of decades’ worth of contemplating his conduct, and I have taught myself to look at his predicament from another vantage point than my own. Although I possess little information about the colonists’ opinions regarding my brother, and I can only analyse the actions and offences he has committed in my lifetime, I do know what it feels like to be excluded or avoided on the basis of being different, of being artificial. After I was endowed with the emotion chip, and we vanquished the Scimitar, I have devoted myself to an extensive analysis of all the data I could accumulate pertaining to my brother’s history. I shall omit the exact details regarding my methodology, theoretical framework, and analysis of my research, but I can provide you with an encapsulation concerning the outcome.
‘Vehemently, I have attempted to fathom, and have subjected myself to weeks of minute research as to how human emotions, with as well as without guidance, might manifest in androids. Exploring and discriminating between these distinctions have become less of a challenge to me, now that I have access to these attributes myself. Therefore, my comprehensive research has led me to believe that Lore’s lack of emotional guidance and lack of parental support overexerted his circuitry. The pathways of his neural net were developing and quadrupling at an accelerated pace, which should not have interfered with his cognitive abilities, but during this process, his integrated emotion chip was consecutively affected by unpleasant external factors in the form of the Omicron Theta colonists. The external factors precipitated a minor cascade failure in Lore's positronic brain, which is not too dissimilar to what humans might ascribe as a “nervous breakdown.” This nervous breakdown was instigated by continual instances of prejudice, discrimination, segregation, xenophobia, seclusion, and emotional as well as parental negligence. Lore’s programming was not yet stable enough, nor did it possess the processing capacity it required to regulate such data accordingly. As a result, the minor cascade failure overrode his ethical and moral subroutines. I feel obligated to stress that my brother is not, as Juliana put it “evil.” His responses were in accordance with his defective programming; the Third Law of Robotics dictates that “an android must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First and Second Law.” However, since the First and Second Law had been erased from his ethical and moral subroutine, he had no accurate frame of reference and hence why his act of self-preservation resulted in the deaths of the colonists. This is consolidated by the instances during which his attempted to assault us, after we reassembled him on the Enterprise; his past trauma has provided him with ample reasons to be suspicious of humans and everyone they associate with, including me. This explains why he was in such a hurry to contact the Crystalline Entity. A non-organic entity he had befriended and confided in over the years; an entity that could provide him protection. The tendency of self-preservation, is likewise reflected in his attempts to assimilate the renegade Borg; they could have served as his personal bodyguards. Perhaps if Doctor Noonian Soong, our father, had rectified the malfunction Lore had beseeched him to correct during our “family reunion,” subsequent events might have been prevented. And maybe Lore and I could even have established a proper fraternal relationship afterward. But what-ifs will not aid our cause...
‘Nevertheless, my research has allowed me to comprehend my brother on a level I was previously unable to. And, I admit, it is difficult to be with him again, after everything we have endured, but that does not withhold me from proposing reconciliation. It will be an arduous process consisting of establishing mutual trust, reintegration in society, self-reflection, and painful confrontations. But once we have a premise, we can proceed to fix him, independent of Daystrom. In the meantime, I shall continue to advocate for my brother, protect him, and always be there for him. I have iterated that I will be able to forgive him and that I am eager to count him among my friends. Naturally, my statement was met with scorn, rolling eyes, and a deprecating remark, but I am positive that over the course of several months, or years, he will accept my apologies and we can finally be brothers.’

Meta Marcy Wu
Marcy really does have that energy of like. Someone who doesn’t have a whole lot of ‘opinions’ on bigger matters (such as the conflict between Toads and Newts, Sasha and Anne, Maddie and her sisters, etc.) so she just sort of. Awkwardly waits and sits off to the side, kind of biding her moment for when it’s finally over. Letting others take charge so long as she gets her own little space to function in. She’s not against or for anyone in particular, she just needs people to decide for themselves who she should follow, Marcy prefers to be a follower and ONLY that- Her debut has her asserting her own control for herself, but she doesn’t seem to care much else about others, I’m afraid.
Contrast that with Anne, who needs her own control- BUT she also has the Heart, so she cares about others, she’s proactive and has agency despite initially being told to be reactive and not stand up for herself. Even if she can’t stand up for herself, she will stand up for others… And I think she was lowkey influenced by Sasha’s obsessive desire to protect the girls, and that played into Anne being a little bit toxic, but ultimately learning and having that inner fire to take a stance on things based on moral reasons, whereas Sasha seems more concerned for power than the actual social plight of the Toads- So even if Anne isn’t with the rebellion, it’s ultimately something she WOULD fully dedicate herself towards, like when we saw her stand up for the Frogs against Bog and the other Toads.
And like, I have to wonder if Marcy’s more hands-off, simple follower approach is lowkey what contributed to Sasha’s belief in controlling others, because it validated that- But at the same time, we talk about how Sasha might care more for Anne than Marcy, and we see how Sasha is frustrated by Toadie, who is but an echo chamber for her. So maybe while Marcy is convenient to her, she’s just a bit too passive and thus not as ‘fun’ as a friend as Anne, who is also a concern because she has genuine motive to question Sasha not just on the basis of their friendship, but people OUTSIDE of it, which Marcy doesn’t.
Anne being fiercely loyal and protective and sticking up for others, it also could’ve fed back into Sasha’s own tendencies as well. And of course these more proactive, in-your-face girls, always on the frontlines, are going to clash, while Marcy the forgotten follower, the wall-flower, the one in the background focused on more ‘nerdy’ things that are less glamorous, like logistics and whatnot… SHE’s the lynchpin that actually tips the scales- Because she’s the third girl who ‘sides’ with Anne between the initial conflict from Season 1. She’s the one with Andrias, flipping things up when Anne and Sasha are going to fight, contributing to that prophesized endgame.
Marcy is the one, ironically, with the power –albeit as an extension of Andrias really- and so she’s the antagonist who’s clashing with Sasha, who is also power-hungry, but really beginning to learn as well. Marcy is caught up in her own little fantasy land and world, both literally and figuratively, happily enjoying and watching as a witness and bystander, almost detached in a sense to really participate and appreciate it as a very real thing… And being separate and an ‘audience’ member, Marcy is of course forgotten by Sasha and Anne, who play the part of characters; Fitting, because in that one flashback, they were Captain Hook and Peter Pan, while Marcy worked back-stage, literally pulling the strings (well, rope) for Anne!
It’s Marcy who’s obsessed and fascinated with the meta of fandom and fiction, so of course she’s the one who steps back and observes it like media, takes the time to comment on it as if it were all tropes, watching and enjoying while for Sasha and Anne they participate directly without that kind of detached meta awareness, the kind someone like Andrias would have, because for THEM it’s real, there are stakes, power for Sasha and people for Anne! And Marcy is the backstage audience, fourth-wall crewmember, unnoticed by all who forget and ignore her, and she’s used to it. Maybe Marcy even enjoys and prefers it that way, and/or learned to- And it’s too late to pay attention, to see themselves as characters in that wider play and story and plot, unlike Andrias who notices and takes advantage… And may have been writing since who knows HOW early?
If I could get into meta, Marcy playing that quiet, unnoticed support role, doing whatever’s convenient- It reminds me of how the visual basis for your typical Ninja in black garb… It came from plays where performers in black garb would maneuver props, and the audience was supposed to intentionally ignore them, see them as separate from the actual story; But every now and then, one play might have a ‘twist’ where that background actor actually IS a character, and assassinates someone to reveal themselves as the hidden Ninja!
So maybe Marcy is like that… The background crewmember, not calling attention to herself in the acting role- In plain sight but we figure we’re meant to ignore, and so we’re utterly blindsided when she DOES strike! It’s Marcy who appreciates the little technical know-how and details, valuing the role that Frogs and agriculture play, considering Newtopian infrastructure, working back-stage in a Peter Pan play… Appreciating the writing conventions and tropes of her favorite games and fantasies, and so that in a way enables her to ‘game’ the system in a sense, play into it with her own hands, or even set up that game and story in the first place, because she knows how to make one!
She is the drummer while Anne and Sasha play guitar and sing, not as glamorous or recognized amongst a crowd, but just as vital as the rest… She’s a very META kind of person, befitting her choice of METAmorphosis as part of her drummer costume! You don’t pay mind to a caterpillar, but then little do you know, it becomes an even more unnoticeable cocoon… Only to sprout into a brilliant butterfly! But while the BLUE butterfly is associated with Anne and her connections back home through Pearl Paddock, who is representative of familial bond, remembering who you are… Marcy is disconnected, she’s a GREEN butterfly, green like the lilypads of Amphibia, and she wants to stay there!
And the best part, I think? I don’t think Marcy herself is even fully aware of what she’s doing… I doubt she sees herself as some clever manipulator. She’s just doing what she can, having her fun plans and machinations like in New Wartwood, but she’s not ACTUALLY approaching this as some devious mastermind- She’s literally just a kid! She gets caught up in her own things, because she is an autistic mood, and I get that! I resonate with that! And so it’s so easy for Marcy to be blindsided by HERSELF, by her own flaws and borderline antagonistic role in the story, to realize what she’s doing is kind of messed up and trivializing- Because we know that she WANTS to care, but it’s so easy and convenient for her to forget and play into the fantasy… Especially with someone like Sasha, and especially Andrias, to enable her, to provide that safety and support net that MARCY doesn’t complain about or take for granted, unlike that ‘ungrateful’ Anne, as Sasha might’ve one said!
And if Marcy isn’t really self-aware of her own issues or even the full messed-up scope of her actions, to take a look back and critically examine herself the way she might a character or even her own friends; Then that can also make her a victim to her own antics, just as Sasha kept burying herself into a deeper hole. And it’s hard to do the right thing, if you don’t even realize you’re messing up in the first place- Recognizing your fault is kind of one of THE foundations of actual reform, growth, and redemption. I think Marcy needs guidance, and she needs to show more initiative and take a stance not just for herself, but regarding others as well… And that can lead to her choosing between Anne and Andrias.
Andrias, whose name is like Anne’s but more fantastical, who is blue like Anne’s motif… And who looks after her like a good friend, makes things easier and promises they will be! And he’s invested into the fantasy, he doesn’t want to go home and complicate things, get into fights with Sasha, because it’s the person in charge who decides how it is, right? Which is why True Colors continues to concern me… Amidst, you know, the many OTHER issues as well.

What, How, Why is Flame Alchemy?
--or how Roy Mustang can potentially bottle up a star. --or I’m sleep-deprived and writing this fic that relies on a deeper understanding of how Flame Alchemy works and I’m posting what I thought of bc why the hell not? and if I read another post saying it’s plain ole combustion and how easy it is, I will probably lose my mind --or goddammit, where is Flame Alchemy?????
Content:
I. Introduction II. Mass-Energy Equivalence and Nuclear Energy III. Flame Alchemy? More like Nuclear Alchemy (and Other Myth Debunking) IV. Why would someone study such a research topic? V. Summary
Note: Long post and a lot of Science ahead.
I. Introduction
Tumblr media
First we establish that whatever we know of Flame Alchemy is utterly bogus. Solely because of the fact that if Roy and Riza really wanted for the knowledge of it to die, no one will ever know of it. No one. So that explanation by Havoc about aligning oxygen molecules and then snapping to ignite them is not true. I mean, reactive cloth?” What is that even made of? For a show that was extensively researched, that seems a bit lazy.
Also, this explanation makes Flame Alchemy sound so easy. So why isn’t everyone doing it? For a military-run country, one would think that something easy and can be weaponized would be mass-produced, right?
Another fact, fire feeds on oxygen, yes. But fire is a combustion reaction of oxygen and a C-H compound. Something I hope that the air in a 1900s FMA-Earth isn’t abundant of.
Although, I haven’t thought about what if the fuel Roy uses is H2 compounds instead of Hydrocarbons. That would be funny. Roy deconstructs H2O molecules only to create them again. But if you still want to see whether or not I’m crazy, by all means, do read on. I will still use Flame Alchemy = Nuclear Fusion for my fic. So ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Now, it got me thinking how does Flame Alchemy actually work? And my highly convoluted train of thought started while I was writing this fic where I based Riza’s mother on Marie Curie. (Which I may expand on but now is not the time.)
I thought then, so how about Berthold? Is he Pierre? Naw, man. Who else has had his research mishandled during a war? Who else was a brilliant thinker but is also such a shitty dude to the women in his life? Yeah you guessed it. And what is one of his greatest works?
II. Mass-Energy Equivalence and Nuclear Energy
Tumblr media
Albert Einstein’s Mass-Energy Equivalence is such a simple and very elegant equation saying that mass is interchangeable with energy. This postulate led to this branch of physics (or chemistry, whatever) called Nuclear Physics/Chemistry. Bear with me.
Did you know that when you add up the masses of an atom’s nucleons (the collective protons and neutrons) the actual mass is not equal to the calculated? Where did that mass go? As it turns out, that mass defect takes in the form of energy that holds the nucleons together. And when we substitute that missing mass on Eq. 1, we have a specific number for that binding energy.
So what do we mean by nuclear energy?
Nuclear energy is the binding energy released when a nucleon is taken out of its nucleus. And that can happen by either of two reactions: nuclear fission or nuclear fusion.
Now I didn’t think much about nuclear fission because that’s shit’s nasty. And I’m sure that Roy doesn’t have Uranium just lying about. So let’s talk about nuclear fusion. Specifically, the fusion of Hydrogen atoms:
Tumblr media
When you fuse two Hydrogen-1 atoms it has three products: deuterium, a positron, and energy. Fuse that deuterium with another Hydrogen-1, we get Helium-3 and energy in the form of gamma radiation. Fuse two Helium-3 atoms, we get helium-4 and hydrogen and more energy. Then start the process again if you want more more energy.
So what has that got to do with Flame Alchemy?
III. Flame Alchemy? More like Nuclear Alchemy (and Other Myth Debunking)
I firmly believe that the “Flame Alchemy” we see in FMA is just the H-H fusion reaction (Eq. 2).
And like an idiot, I only did my research after I thought of all that shit and found this interpretation of Riza’s tattoo.
Tumblr media
I don’t know how how much of the tattoo is canon, I tried looking for it in the manga and the anime is too small to see. But I see it everywhere so-- it must be canon?
But in that post, in the upper left part of Riza’s tattoo, we see the fusion reaction of deuterium. And of deuterium and tritium. To which I say, why? Those Hydrogen isotopes are rare. I mean, fine, a D-T fusion reaction gives 40 times the net energy from an H-H fusion reaction.
And, sure, Roy can create deuterium and tritium himself, but it’s just not efficient. I don’t know how alchemy works but I do know that to do that (by which I mean an H-H fusion, then a D-D fusion, then a D-T fusion) would require more energy than just stopping at the H-H fusion.
So I stand by my statement that the “Flame Alchemy” we see in FMA is just the first part of the H-H reaction (Eq. 2).
a. So how does it work as seen in the manga?
Roy would line up the atoms to where he wants the reaction to happen. And here’s the kicker, he can use other light atoms just no heavier than Iron-56.
But I think he uses Hydrogen-1 because that shit is everywhere. Again, not the heavier isotopes. So we’re sticking to that.
How do we know that that’s what’s happening and not Roy doing whatever the hell Havoc said? Because we see this:
Tumblr media
I don’t know about you, but I think the sparks we see when someone is doing a transmutation aren’t just there because it’s cool.
Atoms require energy in order to stay bonded as a molecule. So when alchemists transmute, they break the bonds and release that energy. In this case, the energy released is in the form of light. (I also have some thoughts about why we see red and blue sparks but, again, now is not the time.)
If Roy is just controlling the O2 molecules in the air, we shouldn’t see any sparks because there is no deconstructing happening.
Hydrogen-1 is usually present as part of the many water molecules in the air. So, I think, what we see is Roy deconstructing the H2O molecules and pulling the Hydrogen-1 atoms to where he wants them to be. The Oxygen-16 atoms bond with each other and form O2 molecules but we don’t care about them.
Unless Roy fuses Oxygen-16 instead of Hydrogen-1. In that case, we will see an even bigger release of energy. OH! Maybe that’s why he uses his left hand for smaller and more controlled explosions and the other for bigger ones. Because the gloves are different! One is for H-H fusion and the other is for O-O fusion.
Anyways. Hydrogen-1 atoms, by themselves are positively charged. So to fuse two together we have to overcome the repelling force by those same-charged atoms. To do that, they must meet either at high velocity or at high pressure. In the manga, they do the former.
Remember the sound whenever Roy does his thing? That isn’t actually caused by his snapping. After all he is wearing gloves. The sound when you snap is made by the pad of your middle finger striking your palm. If your hand is clothed, you won’t produce any sound when you snap.
No. That sound is the sonic boom of Hydrogen atoms going faster than the speed of sound. Also, I don’t think his gloves is made up of some special material. He just snaps to cover up the sound. Everything is just nuclear fusion.
b. How about those “flames” that we see, then?
That is how we perceive the energy released by the reaction. When the energy is transferred into the surroundings, it gives off heat. Not only that, but the other atoms in the air get excited (this is a technical term btw) and glow. For all intents and purposes, I guess they are flames? Just not caused by a combustion reaction.
c. But if that’s how the Flame Alchemy works, then what is up with the useless when wet schtick?
That is a misconception. Sort of.
Roy’s alchemy will still be useless in the rain because there is just too much macromolecules in the air. He can’t align the atoms properly and the Hydrogen atoms may collide with the water molecules. That would decrease speed which he maybe can take account of. But the time to calculate then recalculate for each atoms can be too long. So he just lets Riza take care of the imminent threat when it’s raining.
As for when it isn’t raining, but he’s wet… I think he can still do his Alchemy, he just doesn’t. Because in doing so, it would deconstruct all the lies Roy and Riza have built around “Flame Alchemy.” Like that fight with Lust with Havoc. He manipulated Hydrogen atoms and I think he could have just fused them. Instead he let Havoc throw his lighter. Good thing Hydrogen is flammable. And this:
Tumblr media
This is just Roy Mustang being the drama queen that he is.
d. Why would Roy and Riza lie about the Alchemy?
They feed false information surrounding Nuclear Alchemy because there can never be another Nuclear Alchemist. They created a version of the Alchemy and make up some magic cloth that supposedly becomes useless when wet. All of that so that no one can learn the actual secret. Maybe even discourage other alchemists, seeing as “it has such a huge weakness.”
IV. But why would someone want to study such a research topic?
Now, I don’t claim to know how Berthold Hawkeye’s brain works. But have you ever looked up to the sun and think, “Woah. That big ball gives life on this piece of rock? How does that even work?” I hope you haven’t because you will hurt your eyes. Please use protective eye-gear if you’re going to look directly to the sun.
All joking aside. It all comes down to energy. The sources of energy we have today have their pros and cons. Our main source, which is burning fossil fuels, is very much harming the environment.
So we look up. The sun has millions of Hydrogen atoms that undergo nuclear fusion. And the energy from that keeps all of us 7 billion little shits alive. What if we bottle up a star?
If we could ever recreate even the smallest fraction of that reaction, we can power hundreds of cities. And with Helium to spare, which we can use to blow out the balloons for our party in celebration of the fact we can finally stop killing our planet.
If nuclear fusion is so clean, then why aren’t we using it?
Because we still don’t know how to contain and control it. Today, there are two designs of fusion reactors and there are research facilities that conduct experiments. But so far they are still developing the technology.
And get this, this is a very hard and expensive thing to do. Whatever Berthold did, it’s genius. Way ahead of his time. He’s still an ass of a father though.
To add salt to the wound, like with what happened to Flame Alchemy in FMA, governments have used this research to create weapons instead. Because why try to contain that energy and use it for technological advancement when we can let it loose on a city, right? Hah. We are such dumbfucks.
V. Summary
So in conclusion, human beings suck. Kidding! Well, not really. But yeah. So. Flame Alchemy is a nuclear fusion reaction of Hydrogen-1 atoms. And it’s very hard to control and contain that even in 2020 Primary-Earth, we haven’t figured that shit out.
It could have been used for the people if the Amestrian government actually cared about the people. And after the trauma Roy and Riza experienced in Ishval, we may only see Nuclear Alchemy in the distant future when humans are kinder – not just to the world they live in – but to other humans they are living with as well.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

Why  Most Individuals  Will Certainly  Never Ever Be  Fantastic At Milfporn
Pornobr Hd.
Advocates say the adult movie market, which presented a widespread system of testing and call tracing to secure performers from HIV in the 1990s, has experience that might help Hollywood and also various other industries trying to find a safe way to reactivate. " The difficulties for sports, for Hollywood, and the porn market are all different but in reality, we each have things we can pick up from each various other." Globally, pornography is a 97 billion dollar market, navigate to this web-site and also the US represent 12 billion of it. In 2017, the International Organization of Net Hotlines "traced online child sexual assault product to over 70 countries," as well as greater than 60 countries in 2018. Top porn enjoyment companies, like Pornhub, promote to as well as receive content from nations around the world.
Health divisions require to be able to promptly recognize individuals understood to have actually been occupationally exposed to STDs/HIV for therapy, follow-up, and also companion management to control more spread of illness to others in the community. Movie critics have long argued that adult video is a magnet for creepy fans, pushed young women and Sexually transmitted diseases, asserts the market refutes.
A bulk of the participants at the Cambridge Union argument assumed so. I wish this symbolizes the beginning of an actual push back versus the pornography market; that youths will not enable it to distort and also deteriorate their own sexuality and also sexual orientations, none much more.
Tumblr media
They see the magic of the movie-making and the creative thinking that goes into these productions. They appreciate and also recognize everything it takes to make it take place. Porn-studio proprietors state they'll default prior to they would certainly allow prophylactics to hinder of sales.
Hardcore Amateur Porn Video Clips
Given that its launch, the film has triggered significant discussion about the experiences of female performers and also the porn market itself. For Hollywood stars to return to function, they might need to begin acting like porn stars.
Disease private investigators have actually regularly been not able to establish contact with revealed and also infectious performers to initiate prompt treatment as well as companion solutions as well as contain the spread of infectious illness to entertainers as well as their partners. Some grown-up movie industry testing centers, manufacturing business, and ability firms have actually not been cooperative in supplying performer contact info to the local health department. This situation results in a lack of ability by neighborhood wellness divisions to recognize the resource of potential illness episodes as well as place a fast public wellness action when such break outs take place.
Take The Next Step Fund The Battle Against Huge Porn.
Diane Fight It Out is Chief Executive Officer of the Free Speech Coalition, the profession organization for the pornography industry. She claims the debate regarding wellness threats in the pornography industry is out of touch with fact, because adult performers get examined more frequently than any various other populace in the nation. It seems that the historic taboo of black men copulating white ladies is one sexual hang-up that also the pornography industry hesitates to get over. Regardless of just how often individuals utilize pornography-- Pornhub alone declares it acquired 28.5 billion sights in 2014-- its economic power remains covert amongst the masses. Unlike various other types of enjoyment, whose information consistently obtains splashed across the front web page of customer magazines, rumblings within the grown-up show business are normally just adhered to by specific niche trade audiences.
Tumblr media
Annually, Pornhub releases a report showcasing stats from their "top 20 nations." The 2019 list of top 20 periods throughout a number of continents. Human trafficking in the pornography sector can not be isolated to one area or one populace. With most of porn easily accessible online, pornography of a trafficking survivor living overseas is just a search away. Regional wellness departments monitor STD/HIV treatment and also follow-up of revealed and infected people for condition examination objectives. Regional enforcement of the adult film market, however, has actually been met with significant obstacles, most notably in Los Angeles where the sector is mostly based.
It's much less typical currently than it was twenty years ago for stars to obtain multi-film agreements. This is an outcome of the shrinking of workshop budget plans and also eruption of web traffic to tube sites like Pornhub and also Redtube, which reveal content made by various other producers without paying for it. In her publication, Tarrant approximates that piracy sets you back the pornography sector some $2 billion a year. There's nothing incorrect with need or having a sexual cravings as long as both celebrations are consenting adults. When it concerns internet porn, that line is so regularly blurred or non-existent, that it is necessary to be clear about what constitutes dream and also reality.
Then when these attractive pieces can't wait any kind of longer, they will be permeated by a huge cock for the hardest anal sex possible.
These beautiful gays like it extreme, and if you intend to join them for all their kinky, mind-blowing orgasms, sign on to pornhub.com totally free, man on male movies.
Attractive studs recognize how to excite each other with competent mouths and also pulsating boners in the dirtiest gay videos you can ever before picture.
These toned, muscular hotties provide the most effective blowjobs and also engage in the wildest orgies, since all they crave is to be pounded hard, deep and repeatedly.
We offer streaming pornography videos, downloadable DVDs, photo albums, and the number 1 complimentary sex neighborhood on the web.
We're constantly working towards including more features that will certainly maintain your love for porno alive as well as well.
Yet if you're watching pornography that portrays physical violence as well as aggression towards females, or you're proactively searching for ladies that look underage, just how does that notify your own intimate connections? There will always be a market for pornography, that a lot is clear fromHot Ladies Desired, yet visitors can select which web content to engage with. If we can develop a greater need for even more moral porn, ladies in the industry will undoubtedly get much less duties that need their subjugation, and also our individual partnerships will certainly be favorably impacted also. The documentary 'Hot Girls Desired', generated by Rashida Jones and released in the springtime of 2015, complies with numerous young women residing in a North Miami Coastline residence as they try to enter the amateur pornography sector.
The conservative Washington, D.C.-based National Fixate Sexual Exploitation suggests that porn viewing has sustained harassment and also sexual physical violence in other profession. Some evidence supports the claim, but there is also research study that associates the freedom to check out grown-up content with fewer occurrences of rape-- the concept is that porn can promote as a risk-free sex-related release. A shooting postponement in the pornography sector was raised this weekend after an adult-film entertainer whose HIV-positive test triggered a weeklong closure of Los Angeles-area manufacturings was retested, with adverse outcomes. In my experience, gay porn, and also the whole grown-up market, has actually ended up being far much less taboo and much more extensively accepted. I have actually located audiences are far more sex positive, they're individuals that understand the art of pornography as well as see beyond the sex.

Cybertech
Cybernetic enhancements are commonplace, thanks to the many medical advancements in recent years, as well as the ever increasing demands of the unbound growth in the economy.
Implantation of the tech can be performed with minimal trauma, and some companies even require them. Usually however the enhanced productivity it grants means that employees volunteer to procedures for the benefit of the greater whole.
Cybernetics come in a large number of varieties. Prometius Koinonia was one of the first Megacorps that developed what are considered "true" cybernetics, binding machine learning flash chips to nerves to provide communication between flesh and technology without the inconsistency of magitech.
As they expand their developing range, they developed five core chips which connect into different areas of interest, and have since become the global standards.
Earth chips tend to work towards maximising productivity, and are the most common implants. "Swiss keys" are built based on these, and simply allow the controller to deactivate tiredness and wearineds reception in the brain. Other ones include "Gilder Locks", a common economists tool to enforce company trading standards while allowing much more autonomy than would be typically allowed.
Water chips are used for thing such as holographic manipulation and artistic expression. Laser gyroscopic balance plugs are connected using these, as are Virtual Echo soundboards common to daytime television hosts, who want to provide live entertainment to the guests, though Virtual Echo provide a range of instruments.
The other chips are Air, which is used when connecting to both inter- and exo-nets. Fire, used for combat enhancements such as Knois Reactive plates, though most have them for weapon recognition chips required by most sovereignties that permit firearms. And finally Aether chips, which connect to raw bodily enhancement implantations via a distributed net. These implants are more extensive and advanced than simple "Keys", which simply hack into the brain to prevent recognition of exhaustion, and instead improve the bodies capabilities, from enhanced intelligence to muscular activity re-organisation to simple nanobot healing.
Claims that imbalanced implantation of these chips cause mental health problems in those using it is often derided as luddite fear mongering, but some independent studies have shown that the hijacks used can lead a person's identity being over-worn, and that testing currently performed is inadequate, as it is often done on wealthy, middle class Atlantean students or other Student populations likely to be in a better situation to be capable of adapting and defining themselves outside of the implants, or in general population studies volunteers tend to be those with various implants already, and are thus able to balance the nerve drives better, since the inventors designed them for interchangeability and mutual compatibility.
Meanwhile, those who end up with them as part of employment, whether that's corporate demands or necessary to keep up with the times of their respective industry, usually have far less balanced implant schemes.
The studies that are made on the effect of over-reliance on particular chip varieties are still relatively few, and often hard to find, but a fuzzy picture that doesn't look good is coming forth. Yet, unless current practices change, the trajectory isn't likely to change. Only the Laputan Government has implemented requirements that labour must be able to be performed without expectation of implantation.

Leaving a legacy
This article was originally published in the Summer 2018 issue of Themis magazine.
Tumblr media
By Heather Matthews Kirk, Contributing Writer (@lsuzetataualpha)
Convention 2018 marked a new era in Zeta Tau Alpha as the Presidents of all three entities moved on from their roles.
To most Zetas, the numbers nine and five carry great significance. After all, as new members we study the histories of our nine young Founders, and not long after, we learn what the five points of the crown will represent to us throughout our lives. But it’s the number three that really makes Zeta Tau Alpha tick. Our “three entities”—the Fraternity, the ZTA Foundation and the ZTA Fraternity Housing Corporation—make up the whole of Zeta Tau Alpha, each providing an important piece to the experience and each contributing in synergy with the other two. For the first time ever, at Convention 2018, ZTA will see a change in the leadership of all three entities as the Presidents—Carolyn Hof Carpenter of the Fraternity, Becky Hainsworth Kirwan of the Foundation and Julia Marthaler Hill of the FHC—move on from their roles at the same time.Yet, what each of these leaders will tell you is  that ZTA is the strongest it’s ever been, and further, it’s future is in good hands.
Tumblr media
Becky Hainsworth Kirwan ZTA Foundation President
In 1998, ZTA celebrated its Centennial Convention with fanfare and sisterhood in Richmond, Virginia. While the Fraternity commemorated this milestone, the ZTA Foundation marked a changing of the guard as Becky Hainsworth Kirwan became its fifth President.
During her service over the last 20 years—almost one-third of the entity’s history—the Foundation has experienced tremendous growth in both its fundraising and impact, staying true to its mission to support educational and philanthropic programs and scholarships that are ever “responsive to the needs of a changing society.”
To enable this vision, the Foundation had a goal to raise $1 million per year when Mrs. Kirwan became President. Yet, through the efforts of our chapters and the generosity of donors, the Foundation now annually raises almost $4 million, and Mrs. Kirwan considers it one of her board’s chief responsibilities to thank donors. “We’re known as the huggers,” she said. “When we see you, we want to say ‘thank you’ with a hug. We’re grateful, and we want you to know it.”
When asked what has inspired people and chapters to give at greater levels, Mrs. Kirwan said the reason is the same as what motivated her two decades of Foundation service. “It’s pride in what we do,” she said. “Members have a strong sense of pride in our philanthropy, in the scholarships we provide, but also in what we have done to make a difference in the lives of members and the world through programming.”
ZTA is a leader among sororities in the education it provides, much of which is funded through Foundation grants. “Today’s ZTA programs have a broader impact and audience,” she said. For example, Mrs. Kirwan’s “favorite” Foundation-funded program, Behind Happy Faces, teaches that mental health needs as much care as one’s physical health, which is “relevant to everyone.”
She also takes great pride in the vast growth of the Foundation’s scholarship program. In the past biennium, the Foundation awarded a record $1.6 million in scholarships—more than four times the amount given during the 1998–2000 biennium. In the same time frame, the Foundation also nearly doubled the average amount of each scholarship from $1,483 to $2,750.
ZTA’s national philanthropic cause, breast cancer education and awareness, was relatively new when Mrs. Kirwan started in her role, and under her leadership, the Foundation trademarked “Think Pink.” In addition, ZTA forged national partnerships with the National Football League, American Cancer Society® and Bright Pink®, helping “tap our membership in a different way,” by increasing volunteer engagement and expanding our reach.
“Our philanthropy has truly become who we are, not just what we do,” she said. “When I look at my friends who have fought breast cancer, it is no longer the end of the world. I know we have made a difference.”
Now, she is confident in the future of the Foundation. “I hope I have left the Foundation in a place where the next leader can take it another step forward,” she said. “We have a bright future. It is time for the board, under new leadership, to give the next hug, find the next donor, impact the next scholarship recipient, fund the next program and celebrate the next survivor.”
Tumblr media
Julia Marthaler Hill Fraternity Housing Corporation President
In 2006, Julia Marthaler Hill passed the torch as National President of the Fraternity and was installed as the sixth President of the Fraternity Housing Corporation.
In the last 12 years, the FHC has increased the number of facilities it owns and manages by 14—from 99 to 113. In that same time frame, the FHC almost doubled its net worth, from $20 to $38 million.
“We are so  where we need to be,” Mrs. Hill said. Our financial position allows ZTA to look at housing projects differently, which is a point of pride for her.
“Twenty years ago, we had to do major renovations in phases, spread out over years. Now we can do a complete renovation and have the ‘wow’ factor and benefit of finishing it as a cohesive project,” she said. “And, when the Fraternity is interested in an extension opportunity that would involve housing for the new group, we can often say, ‘we can do that!’”
In 2018, the FHC added another jewel to its crown as it opened the new International Office in Carmel, Indiana. This ZTA “home,” which provides a collaborative and functional space for our staff, has been a labor of love for Mrs. Hill and the volunteers and staff who have worked on it.
Yet, Mrs. Hill’s “greatest honor” has been working with the 35 different volunteers who have served on the FHC board of directors during her tenure. Because of their expertise and dedication, much of the design and management that goes into a project is done on a volunteer basis, maximizing ZTA’s resources. “Through their service, we have continued to fulfill the real purpose of the FHC—giving our chapters safe and competitive housing while securing our position as a leader in the fraternity/sorority world of housing,” Mrs. Hill said.
In its 41 years, the board has continued to grow to meet the needs of an expanded Fraternity. “We have operated in much of the same way for four decades, but as we’ve grown, the many moving parts have become difficult to manage in our current structure,” she said. “Our assets and needs are that of a good-size corporation in the business world, and we needed to update our organizational structure to match that size.”
In her final year as President, the FHC unanimously passed and introduced—with the support of the Fraternity and Foundation—a new board structure that will help the organization evolve. The FHC board will now have eight positions elected at Convention: President; Secretary-Treasurer; three Vice Presidents—one for each collegiate area; and three Vice Presidents geared toward a specific area of expertise—Design, Construction and Renovation, and Operations.
“The new structure allows us to be more visionary and provide an opportunity for each leader to work directly with a committee to accomplish goals,” Mrs. Hill said. “I am very confident in the women who have been slated to lead the FHC into the future. Their nominations fit their unique wheelhouses, so they can really bring their talents to the table.”
For her next ZTA chapter, Mrs. Hill will likely not go far. At the time of Themis’ printing, she is slated as the Vice President of Design in the new FHC board structure, which fits her own passions and talents well. “I want to see this transition through, but in a way that will allow the new board to start fresh,” she said. “I’ll be there to help.”
Tumblr media
Carolyn Hof Carpenter National President
In 2014, just two weeks after Carolyn Hof Carpenter donned the Purple of the Fraternity for the first time as National President at Convention, ZTA said goodbye to a dynamic leader when long-time Executive Director Deb Ensor lost her battle with cancer.
Ms. Ensor often said to Zetas, “Greatness is expected of you,” and in the months after her passing, Mrs. Carpenter rose to that challenge. She provided steady leadership to the staff and National Officers in a difficult time and fostered collaboration to chart a course for the future.
“After having Deb at the helm for 35 years, we had to reestablish our ways of doing things,” she said. “Today, we are a stronger ZTA.”
Under her leadership, the Fraternity has continued to grow, with its undergraduate membership topping 20,000 for the first time in 2016 and the number of dues-paying alumnae steadily increasing. Two collegiate chapters have been reactivated and six new chapters have been added to the Chain of Chapters, while seven alumnae chapters have been reorganized and one new chapter has formed.
In four years, Mrs. Carpenter has crossed many items off her “Zeta Bucket List,” but the most memorable was in 2017, when she led and live-streamed the Founders’ Day service “Live from Longwood.”
“To go back to the place where we were founded and honor those women, knowing Zetas everywhere could participate in real time—that was incredible,” she said.
She also takes great pride in ZTA’s new programs and initiatives, which foster development in and meet the changing needs of our members. New offerings aim to prevent sexual assault, support academic success, explore ZTA’s values and provide a revamped new member experience. Officer training was another primary focus, with ZTA hosting regional Officer Leadership Academies to train more than 1,000 student leaders.
Mrs. Carpenter also worked closely with staff and hired the current Executive Director, Meghan Vicinus Parker. In the last year, they collaborated on a new structure to promote increased teamwork between the staff and three boards.
“The structure and systems created make us more efficient and nimble, so we can all better work together to serve our organization and its members at every level,” she said.
In this hybrid model, volunteers work closely with chapters and members, and the staff bolsters their efforts by providing expertise in key areas. It is one of ZTA’s strengths in the Panhellenic world and helps volunteers focus their time, which is ever important as “women will continue to have many things pulling at their attention—family, career and volunteer opportunities,” Mrs. Carpenter said.
Enhancing the volunteer experience is part of her legacy as she departs her role at Convention 2018.
“Everyone has a seat at the table in Zeta Tau Alpha,” she said. “Our engaged volunteers are a strength, and there is a place for everyone to use her time and talent.”

Collaboration: A Combined Legacy
While each entity has flourished under the leadership of its outgoing President, the collaboration between the three is what makes Zeta Tau Alpha so successful.
“Our cooperation is a strength, especially with this changing of the guard,” Mrs. Carpenter said.
“We are three working as one,” Mrs. Hill said. With every change and step forward, each entity provides support, strength and guidance for the others.
“Kind of like a marriage, we work at it to build and keep trust,” Mrs. Kirwan said. “We know how important it is to have open communication and shared goals, as the success of each entity contributes to the overall experience of our members.”
During this time of transition, all three entities “are in the best place we have ever been,” Mrs. Hill said. “There is strength in our past, and we have great confidence in our future.”
